How do I book a room at Tingalaya's?

We'd prefer that you book directly on our website. Please click the Book Now tab and follow the website's prompts. It's that easy! However, if you prefer to book on Expedia, Booking or any other travel site, that's perfectly fine. 

How do I get to Tingalaya's from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay (MBJ)?

There are two ways you can get to Tingalaya's:

By private car: You can rent a car at the airport and find your way to Negril by using your GPS or a map. We recommend you make your car reservation well in advance as Jamaica is a very busy island and rental cars are in great demand. We highly recommend this option as it will allow you to move around independently. There's plenty of secure parking within the gates of Tingalaya's.

Negril is approximately 50 miles(80 KM) from the airport and the trip can take up to an hour and a half, depending on traffic. When you reach Negril, you will first travel along the Seven Mile beach road. Once you cross the bridge and reach the center of Negril, you will come to a traffic circle. Go around the circle, to your right. Burger King and Popeyes will be on your right as you pass them. You are now on the West End Road, also known as One Love Drive. You will pass many residences, restaurants and hotels along the way, including the famous Rick's Café. Keep going straight until you see the historic Lighthouse on your right. You're now 1.5 miles from Tingalaya's. Keep right when you reach the fork in the road and proceed along the Cliffs Hotel and Hide Awhile Villas on your right. Keep driving through the small hamlet and past Tingalaya's Villa and you will soon come to a long white wall with a large red gate and a sign for Tingalaya's Retreat on your left. Let us know when you're on your way and your expected arrival time, and we'll be looking for you when you reach our gate.

By private shuttle or taxi service: There are many shuttle and taxi operators which you can easily find online by searching for Shuttle/taxi services from Montego Bay to Negril. The trip takes 70-90 minutes and the fares range bewteen $80-$100 US. Additional passengers are often $20 US each. Call or book these vendors well in advance of your arrival. Getting around Negril: 

Once you've reached Tingalaya's, we can recommend some local places to visit or dine if you're so inclined. If you have rented a car, we'll just help you with directions. If you desire to rent a car or scooter when you're in Negril, you can check the web for car and scooter rental in Negril, there are a lot of options. If you need transport to a restaurant or the Seven Mile Beach, we work with several local taxi and tour operators who can take you back and forth.
